Psychology Assessment Guide
All assessment services are individualised to the client’s needs. Below is a guide following the initial consultation appointment: Note: you or your child my requires all or some of these.
Autism Assessment
- ADI-R Interview with parents – 2 hours in the clinic
- Interview with school teacher – up to 1 hour via telephone call
- ADOS Assessment – 1 to 1.5 hours in the clinic
- Autism questionnaires – such as Autism Spectrum Rating Scales (ASRS)
- Other questionnaires – such as ASEBA, Spence Anxiety Scale, Vineland-3 etc.
- Report preparation
- Feedback and consultation – 1 hour in the clinic
ADHD (behavioural) Assessment
- Cognitive assessment (e.g., WISC-V) – 2 hours in the clinic
- Clinical observation – 1 hour in clinic
- Interview with school teacher – up to 1 hour via telephone call
- Questionnaire assessment of attention and concentration – such as Conners-4 Parent and Teacher or Vanderbilt scales
- Questionnaires – such as ASEBA, Spence Anxiety Scale, Vineland-3 etc.
- Report preparation
- Feedback and consultation – 1 hour in the clinic
Specific Learning Disorder Assessment
- Cognitive assessment (e.g., WISC-V) – 2 hours in the clinic
- Achievement assessment (WIAT-III) – 2 hours in the clinic
- Other assessments – such as Test of Dyslexia (TOD), Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing – Second Edition (CTOPP-2) and/or York Assessment of Reading for Comprehension (YARC) – 1 to 2 hours in the clinic
- Questionnaires – such as ASEBA, Spence Anxiety Scale, Vineland-3, Behavior Assessment System for Children-Third Edition (BASC-3) etc.
- Interview with school teacher – up to 1 hour via telephone call
- Report preparation
- Feedback and consultation – 1 hour in the clinic
