Occupational Therapy Assessments Guide
All assessment services are individualised to the client’s needs. Below is a guide following the initial consultation appointment:
Sensory Profile Assessment
- Sensory Profile assessment (SP-2) and/or informal assessment – 1 hour in the clinic
- Report preparation
- Feedback and consultation – 1 hour in the clinic
Functional Capacity Assessment
- Assessment session – 1 hour in the clinic
- Observation in natural setting such as preschool, kindergarten, school or workplace – 1 to 2 hours
- Observation in the home – 1 to 2 hours
- Community outing – 1 to 2 hours
- Report preparation
- Feedback and consultation – 1 hour in the clinic
Handwriting Assessment
- Handwriting assessment (DASH) – 1 hour in the clinic
- Interview with school teacher – 30 minutes to 1 hour via telephone call
- Report preparation
- Feedback and consultation – 1 hour in the clinic
