If you don’t see your question here, our friendly team is always happy to help further.
Is there parking?
Is the clinic accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes. Our clinic is fully accessible and disability-friendly. The building is fitted with ramps, has a lift, and includes an accessible toilet. The space is also suitable for parents with prams.
Who can I bring to my sessions at the clinic?
Appointments are focused on the client; however, you are welcome to bring a support person if you feel it would be helpful—particularly for your initial appointment. This is entirely your choice. Please remember this is your time, and we will support your journey in a way that best suits your needs.
For children, parents or guardians are often important sources of support, and it is encouraged that they attend at least the initial appointment.
Please note that pets and animals are not permitted in the clinic, with the exception of registered assistance animals.
How long are the appointments?
Are all practitioners qualified?
What is the difference between a psychologist and a counsellor?
Do you have clinicians who speak other languages?
Can I use funding for my appointment?
Absolutely! We accept third-party funding, including NDIS, Medicare, Private Health Insurance, TAC, Support at Home and other similar programs.
Do you accept NDIS funding?
Yes, we welcome both Plan-Managed and Self-Managed NDIS participants.
If I have a Medicare referral, how do I receive the rebate?
No need to worry—we can process your Medicare rebate for you right after your appointment. Your rebate will usually be deposited directly into your account within 2–5 business days.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
You’re welcome to bring any medical records or relevant documents that might help your practitioner understand your needs, such as past reports or assessments. A list of your current medications can also be helpful. If the appointment is for a child, parents may like to bring school reports or other professional assessments to support the session. Don’t worry if you don’t have everything—your practitioner will guide you.
Can I change or cancel my appointment?
Yes, of course! We ask that you let us know at least 48 business hours in advance if you need to reschedule. This helps us offer the appointment time to someone else who may be waiting and also allows your practitioner to adjust their plans. We appreciate your consideration—it helps us provide the best care to all our clients. Click here for our full cancellation policy.
Do you offer telehealth or online appointments?
Yes! Many of our practitioners offer telehealth sessions for your convenience. While face-to-face appointments are often preferred for the personal connection they provide, telehealth can be a great option when in-person visits aren’t possible. For very young children, in-person appointments may be better, so your practitioner will help you choose the best approach for your needs.
What assessments are offered by psychologists?
Our psychology team offers a variety of assessments to support your needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), cognitive assessments, specific learning disorders, and more. Your psychologist will discuss what is involved if it is deemed appropriate for you.
What assessments are offered by speech pathologists?
Speech pathologists provide assessments to understand communication skills, including language development, pragmatic/social communication, speech articulation, and other areas. These assessments help guide personalised therapy and support.
What assessments are offered by occupational therapists?
Our occupational therapists offer assessments to understand functional abilities and daily living skills. This includes functional capacity assessments, sensory processing assessments, handwriting evaluations, and other tailored assessments to support development and independence.
After my assessment, how long will it take to receive my report?
The turnaround time depends on the type of assessment completed. Some reports may be ready within 1–2 weeks, while more detailed or complex assessments can take longer. Your practitioner will provide an estimated timeframe when your assessment is completed so you know what to expect.
