Boon has been a practising psychologist for over 7 years. She holds an endorsement in Educational and Developmental Psychology and has worked extensively with individuals and families across both school and private practice settings.
Boon is a passionate and skilled psychologist with experience in assessment, counselling and intervention for children, adolescents and young adults. Her professional experience includes supporting a diverse range of clients in schools, group environments, and one-on-one sessions.
Boon has a interest in neurodevelopmental disorders, learning disorders, as well as emotional and mental health difficulties. She is committed to helping individuals to harness their strengths and reach their potential through evidence-based programs, trauma-informed and neuro-affimring practices, and well-rounded support – whether delivered face-to-face or via telehealth services. She tailors her therapeutic methods to suit each client’s needs and presentations, drawing from a range of various evidence-based approaches. Outside of work hours, Boon conducts research and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology with Orygen and the University of Melbourne.
Beyond her professional role, Boon is a mother of two young children and enjoys spending quality time with her family. She speaks multiple languages such as Mandarin, Malay Cantonese and Hokkien.
